Baby

Jimmy has been completely obsessed with his brown bunny for some time now. He calls it baby and it goes everywhere Jimmy goes. Heaven forbid we forget bunny at home, we have a very long car ride to wherever it is we are headed. This weekend though, he started carrying around a white bunny (that used to belong to Skylar), his fat giraffe he got for Christmas and any other stuffed animal he came across. Oh, I almost forgot his little fleece blankie (A.K.A. blank.) If any of the items fell out of his arms he would whine until someone handed it back to him. He decided this was a better plan then bending over to pick it up himself. I assume this is because the first time he tried to do that, he ended up dropping all of them and having to start all over! I am not sure what we are going to do when baby disintegrates. He gets washed fairly often as he gets mighty messy from being with us all the time. His latest adventure ended with him having syrup and yogurt all over him thanks to his dining with us at IHOP! So, even though Jimmy has taken to some new friends, baby is still the clear favorite. Thanks Grandpa Jim for the innocent stuffed bunny that was "just a little something" last Easter. Hopefully we can find his twin this Easter just in case the unthinkable happens!

He put them down to help with the
laundry but they were never out of his sight!
This is how he looked all day Sunday!
So sleepy.. all his other friends were under blank

Helpers

** Jimmy "helped" by putting Gingers food all over the kitchen floor."

Oh, such helpers I have!!! They want to do everything for me.... feed Ginger, clear the table, open the doors, fold the laundry, etc... The problem?? They FIGHT over who gets to help! Then I end up with 2 screaming, crying kids and laundry that looks like a blind person folded it! Don't get me wrong, I love that they love to help and I feel good that they are learning about responsibility and chores but seriously, why can't we do it without all the crying??? This is the price of having two beautifully stubborn (a trait they get from their daddy) babies!

conversationalist

Lately Skylar has been quite the conversationalist on the way home from school. I am loving having these talks with her while I drive us home. She tells me about school and all the happenings of the day. Sometimes I have to prompt, but mostly she just talks away! It is so amazing to me how much she has learned in her short little life. Most of the conversations crack me up because they are things an adult would say with child-like grammar and cadence. I love this girl!!!

Vrooom, Vrooom

Jimmy has a sudden interest in trucks and cars. It is so cute and unexpected to see him slide cars across the floor making the vroom, vroom noise! We are not car people. We don't talk about them, read about them, watch racing on TV but boys will be boys I see. Jimmy loves all his new trucks he received for Christmas and I am thankful people thought to buy them for him since I never had. Yeah for little boys and their toys!
